Zinedine Zidane: We Have Great Players With Great Attitudes

Real Madrid manager Zidane Zidane hails his complete team squad for playing brilliant Football against Atletico Madrid. Although Cristiano Ronaldo steals the show, but Zidane praised his team and that is what a great manager do. It was second hat-trick of Cristiano Ronaldo against Atleti this season that matches Messi’s Champions League record. Los Blancos are one win or one draw away from making it to the final of UEFA Champions League 2016-17.

In the absence of injured Gareth Bale, Zidane allowed Isco to start against the visitors alongside Cristiano and Benzema. Talking about performance of whole team, Zidane said

“Cristiano is a goal scorer. He’s unique. All the players were brilliant. One lad comes off and another one comes on and players a great game. We knew what we had to do from the off and we played the game we wanted to.”

Zidane also spoke about Isco, Vazquez and Asensio stating “Isco played as a number 10 and was fantastic. We then had width with Vazquez and Asensio when they come on. In a defensive sense we were brilliant too. I’m very happy with everyone’s work.”

Real Madrid still need to clear second leg to qualify for the Final. The Madrid manager is aware of Vicente Calderon’s atmosphere as he said “We still have the second leg. We will have to work hard and fight for it. We will suffer at their place for sure.”

He also stated that he is delightful of having players like these. “I’m lucky to have these players. We try to play our Football and enjoy ourselves. It works because we have great players with great attitudes.”
