Former Real Madrid and current PSG midfielder Angel Di Maria may or may not play for PSG against Barcelona in the return leg of UEFA Champions League round of 16 schedule to be held at Camp Nou. He was seen training with his team-mates though. The 29 year old has suffered from muscle problems and played for little over a quarter of an hour in last four matches of UEFA Champions League. Although he has played some games for PSG, but he is yet to start first game since playing first leg of round of 16.
Doubtful Angel Di Maria for return leg
The Argentine scored two crucial goals at the Parc Des Princes in first leg on his birthday. If he start for PSG against Barcelona, it will be his first start since the opening leg of this tie.
His team mate and experienced footballer Thiago Motta is all set to miss the clash. Motta was not involved in the initial game as Marco Verratti, Blaise Matuidi and Adrien Rabiot reduced Barca’s celebrated midfield to rubble.
Unai Emery, who managed Sevilla from 2013 to 2016 told a pre match news conference “Thiago Motta will not play. For the other we’ll see whether those who are doubtful are able to play tomorrow. We need our player to be at 100%, or close to it, for this game.”
“We need to be ready to do everything: defend, attack, play together, cope when they are dominating, and make them fight. We need to win our one-on-ones and on a collective level get the upper hand. We want to carry on where we left off in Paris.”
