Ghana Team Squad For Africa Cup of Nations 2017

Team squad of Ghana for Africa Cup of Nations 2017 has been announced. Four times AFCON champions are all set for another big football event with their upgraded team squad. Ghana qualified for the competition as winners of Group H in qualifiers on 5th of June 2016. Since 1982, Ghana failed to win the trophy. Will they do it this time? After playing 20 editions of Africa Cup of Nations editions, Ghana have won it four times. But the national team didn’t win it since 1982 when they lifted this trophy for the last time. The team also played three editions of FIFA World Cup which makes them one of the strongest competitors of Africa Cup of Nations 2017.
Ghana are in group D along with Mali, Egypt and Uganda. On 17th of January 2017, Ghana will play the first game of AFCON 2017 against Uganda at the Stade de Port-Gentil. Don’t forget to check Burkina Faso team squad for AFCON 2017.
In last edition of AFCON [2015], Ghana finished as runners-up. The were the second semi finalist of the championship, but lost to Ivory Coast on penalties.
