Germany Team Squad For FIFA Confederations Cup 2017: The 23 man team squad roster of Germany National Football Team has been announced without lots of key players. Die Mannschaft are going to play third big competition in third consecutive year and are likely to play the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2018 also. This could be the reason why German coach Joachim Low have rested his World Cup Winners after very busy schedule. The team squad is featured with almost youngsters who are set to represent the nation in Russia against Champions of each Confederation.

Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus, who missed FIFA World Cup 2014 and later UEFA Euro 2016 was one of the favourites of Low to be listed in team squad. But, his injury history recommended recommended both club and National Team┬áto allow complete summer break. His club mate Julian Weigl was also ruled out of the squad because of ankle injury. World Cup Winner Julian Draxler who is currently player for French club Paris Saint Germain has been called up for FIFA Confederations Cup 2017. The coach has huge faith in him and sees a Leader in him. While pointing his Leadership qualities, Low said “Especially Julian Draxler, who played a great season at Paris, and made a big step there.

Players including Manuel Neuer, Jerome Boateng, Mats Hummels, Toni Kroos, Mesut Ozil, Sami Khedira, Andre Schurrle, Mario Gotze, Mario Gomez and Benedikt Howedes who won World Cup 2014 are not available for FIFA Confederations Cup 2017. Germany qualified for FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 as World Cup 2014 Winners. They are in Group B of the competition with Cameroon, Chile and Australia, Germany will play opening game on 19th June against Australia at Fisht Olympic Stadium located in Sochi.
