Bad news for Real Madrid fans as the all time leading top goal scorer of Real Madrid is set to miss the return leg of 2017 Supercopa de Espana. Cristiano Ronaldo who scored the second goal for Real Madrid in first leg. The Winger handed 5 match ban plus €3K fine for pushing the referee after receiving second Yellow card.

Ronaldo didn’t start for Real Madrid but came as a substitute exactly when he was needed most. The four times Ballon d’Or Winner scored absolute screamer and provided 2-1 lead to his side. He celebrated this goal by removing and raising his jersey just like Messi did at Santiago Bernabeu last time.

Ronaldo received first yellow card for this celebration. A second booking followed for diving, under pressure from Samuel Umtiti, and Ronaldo did not take too kindly to the decision of match official Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea.
The Spanish Football Association [RFEF] released a statement stating “On the first account, Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo will be suspended for one game after receiving two yellow cards, the first for taking off his jersey while celebrating his goal and the second for simulation. The club have also been fined €350 and the player €800. On the second account, Cristiano Ronaldo has been banned for another four games for infraction of article 96 of the disciplinary code, with a €1400 fine for the club and a €3005 fine for the player.”
So Ronaldo will not play the return leg on this Thursday. He will also miss first four La Liga games against Deportivo La Coruna, Valencia, Levante and Real Sociedad.
