Marcelo Salas is a retired Chilean Footballer who made international debut at the age of 19 year old. He netted his first goal for Chile against Argentina in a 3-3 draw. He helped his team to qualify for 1982 FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1982. During the World Cup qualification, he scored netted two hat-tricks against Colombia and Peru and scored 11 goals total in qualifiers.
