Borussia Dortmund Vs Manchester City 2016 Match Preview
Although it is not a competitive game, but both teams knows the importance of pre season games as the domestic league games are just few days away. A win before the new season will help them in gaining confidence for brand new season. It will be also a real test of Man City new manager Pep Guardiola as new manager of Premier League club.
Being the runner-ups of Bundesliga 2015-16, Borussia Dortmund recovered very well in last season after a critical start. They were 10 points behind the champions Bayern Munich in last season. BVB won 24 games out of 34 total, lost four games and drew six. They were the highest goal scorers of Bundesliga 2015-16 as they found the back of the net 82 times, but conceded 34 goals.
Meanwhile, it was not a great season for Manchester City as they had to satisfy with four spot which means they have to go through play off round of UEFA Champions League 2016-17 to qualify for the group stage of UCL. City lost ten games, won 19 games and drew nine times in 38 games of Premier League 2015-16 that costed them to finish at 4th spot below Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
So far, both teams have played three head to head games against each other. The German team remain undefeated against Man City, won two times and drew once. This means Manchester City yet to win against Borussia Dortmund. Will they do it this time?
