Carlo Ancelotti is likely to launch his best squad against his former side. Earlier, Robert Lewandowski was expected to miss the giant clash, but the player is now looking fine and he is likely to start for Bayern. Defender Mats Hummels ruled out of the game because of ankle injury. Team forward Thomas Muller is also doubtful due to same injury issue.

Club manager Zinedine Zidane rested Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos and some more players during an away game against Leganes. The squad though successfully claimed 4-2 victory. All rested players were restored in Madrid derby, but none of them impressed their fans as the Madrid derby ended at 1-1 draw. However, Zidane is likely to re-launch the previous squad except the Madrid derby goal scorer Pepe who is out because of ribs injury. Because of hamstring, Raphael Varane is also set to miss the European derby.
