Arsenal FC manager Arsene Wenger don’t have any intentions to retire to join any other club. The Premier League club manager stated that he will manage another season no matter what happens. After humiliating defeat of 5-1 to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, lots of rumors were raised on his next season. However, the manager denies all rumors with a statement that he is not going anywhere.
I will manage another season, says Arsene Wenger
Current contract of Arsene Wenger expires at the end of this season. During the interview, he said he would decide on a new deal in March or April. Wenger is managing Arsenal since 1996. While speaking about his next season, he said
“No matter what happens I will manage for another season. Whether it’s here or somewhere else, that is for sure. If I said March of April it is because I didn’t know. I do not want to come back on that.”
“I am used to the criticism. I think in life it’s important to do what you think is right and all the rest is judgement. I am a public job and I have to accept that, but I have to behave with my values.”
“Even if I go, Arsenal will not win every single game in the future. It is not like before I arrived Arsenal had won five times in the European Cup. What is important is that the club makes the right decision for the future. I care about this club and its future and it is very important the club is in safe hands.”
The Gunners are at 4th position in Premier League standings with 10 points behind leaders Chelsea. Arsenal and Spurs, both have 50 points, but based on goal scoring, Spurs are above Arsenal.
Do you think Wenger should leave the club now?
